Some mothers fearlessly cut their child's hair. I am not one of them. I absolutely have to leave cutting hair to the professionals. I have attempted on a few occasions to trim my daughter's hair, or even bangs. It never turns out well. It is a combination of my nervousness and her anxiety that I am nervous that causes many uneven cuts. I even tried to cut my son's hair, thinking it would be easier since he is a boy. Nope. I must leave it to the professionals!

Taking our kids into get their haircut can be an ordeal. Many are unsure of the process, therefore nervous. Even more children just have trouble sitting sit to get their hair cut. Thankfully (especially for mothers like me!) there are businesses like Beaners located in Dartmouth Crossing.

Just a hop, skip and a jump over the bridge and we arrived at a funky, little boutique that my kids thought was exciting and put them at ease. Beaners is a Canadian owner company that caters to kids and their hair. My daughter sat on a carnival horse while my son chose the very cool motorcycle, all the while distracted by Horton Sees a Who on the television. Neither one seemed to mind the hairdresser cutting their hair!

Extra bonus, the haircuts cost the same as taking them to a walk in salon! Appointments are recommended, however it was a Friday and they were able to fit us in an hour after I inquired. Being located in Dartmouth Crossing, allowed us to explore some other shops then return for our haircuts. The service was excellent. The haircuts were even an well done. Both children had a peaceful experience and looked fabulous!
