Strabimus and Eye Therapies

Our daughter was diagnosed with Strabismus when she was 20 months old. She wore an eye patch for a period of time, then the eye therapy consisted of wearing glasses that had a bi-focal on them. When she was first diagnosed it was decided that if the bi-focal lenses did not work she would undergo surgery to correct her eyes. Thankfully the summer she turned two the glasses worked their magic and her eyes improved. The picture is of my daughter when she was 21 months old wearing a patch on her eye. She was very cooperative with the patch.

Haircuts for Kids in Halifax

Some mothers fearlessly cut their child's hair. I am not one of them. I absolutely have to leave cutting hair to the professionals. I have attempted on a few occasions to trim my daughter's hair, or even bangs. It never turns out well. It is a combination of my nervousness and her anxiety that I am nervous that causes many uneven cuts. I even tried to cut my son's hair, thinking it would be easier since he is a boy. Nope. I must leave it to the professionals!

The First Haircut

My son's hair was out of control. He inherited my natural curl and it was long and unmanageable. I wanted his first haircut to be a pleasant one, especially since he is not one to sit still for very long. I had recently heard of a new hair cutting place for kids and decided to check it out.
